Michael Marra
Michael Marra has been one of Scotland's most talented and creative songwriters and performers over the last 30 odd years. His songs are full of wry and surreal wit while also offering insights into the human condition. As a performer he has the rare ability to imbue his lyrics with depth, subtlety and at times heartbreaking pathos while on the next beat he will have tears of laughter welling in your eyes.
He has embraced many musical genres over the years writing music and song for films, theatre and television.

Transition in Tradition (En hommage a Sidney Bechet)
In March 2009 Courtney released his eagerly anticipated 12th studio album, Transition in Tradition, a hommage to saxophone pioneer Sidney Bechet. This new work, which provides the basis for this evening's performance, pays tribute to the first great saxophone star Sidney Bechet
The music was composed and evolved through a series of shows in the UK during 2007 before Pine brought his band into the studio to document and capture the energy, support and encouragement that only a live audience can give.
The result is breathtaking.

West Side Story
Angus Musical Youth Theatre
This amateur production is presented by arrangement with JOSEF WEINBERGER LIMITED on behalf of MUSIC THEATRE INTERNATIONAL of NEW YORK.
It's now over 50 years since the very first production of 'West Side Story' opened on Broadway - and almost 50 years since the film version hit the cinema screens (1961). The Angus Musical Youth Theatre group have chosen this classic show to be their 2009 production. It's the Romeo and Juliet story told in a unique way in a show that many say changed the direction of musical theatre at the time. 'West Side Story' is full of great dance routines and popular show songs including 'I Feel Pretty', 'Tonight' and 'America'.
Based on a conception of Jerome Robbins. Book by Arthur Laurents: Music by Leonard Bernstein: Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. Entire original production directed and choreographed by Jerome Robbins. Originally produced on Broadway by Robert E Griffith & Harold Prince by arrangement with Roger L. Stevens.

The MacDonald Bros "X-mas" Show
The Scottish pop duo has taken the Scottish music scene by storm since they burst into the public eye in 2006 as finalists in ITV's "The X Factor."
The pace has been relentless for the MacDonald Bros achieving spectacular success, with three top 10 albums, produced by former Bay City Roller Stuart "Woody" Wood. Their platinum selling debut album made pop history as the first album on a Scottish independent label to go straight in at number 1 in the Scottish charts.
In the past three years The MacDonald Bros have enjoyed highlights such as two headlining tours of Scotland, the place as the sole support act for Irish superstars Westlife on their latest UK arena Tour, and a promotional trip to Australia to release their first album down under through Sony BMG. They also had an unreleased song given to them by Sir Elton John for their second album. All this has contributed to an incredible few years for Craig and Brian MacDonald.
Now the lads are back and raring to take to the stage with their multitude of musical instruments for a fun packed family entertaining CHRISTMAS SHOW!
