Over the Rainbow - The Eva Cassidy Story
Starring Faye Tozer
Over the Rainbow is a compelling musical which tells the story of this legendary artist, following Eva’s life through dramatic scenes and stunning live renditions of her music including a haunting interpretation of ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’.
The show follows her life from the age of 10 growing up in a musical family, to her first professional gig aged 18 at the Wild West World theme park, a rabble-rousing rendition and recording at Blues Alley with Chuck Brown and culminating in her poignant and tragic death at just 33.
A talented and world-class cast and musicians recreate her original arrangements and recordings which have received accolades from Mick Fleetwood and Sting and tributes from Nora Jones, Katie Melua and Chris De Burgh. The show pays a genuine and heartfelt tribute to a true artist who wanted nothing more than to create beautiful music. From its first performance in 2004, Over the Rainbow, has moved people immensely with sell-out performances and standing ovations throughout the UK.

One Giant Leap
A co-production between Wee Stories and the National Theatre of Scotland
How do we know that the Earth is round? How do we know that the Earth moves round the Sun? How do we know that our sun is only one of over a hundred billion stars in our galaxy and that the Milky Way is only one of over a hundred billion galaxies in the Universe. How do we know there are more stars in the known Universe than there are grains of sand on all of the beaches on the planet Earth? How do we know all this is true? Where is the evidence?
The truth is out there, it always was, we just couldn’t see it. Then one day, one man took one giant leap and the rest, as they say, is history - when the world began to move there was no turning back.
One giant leap tells the epic tale of Mankind’s struggle to get its head round the Universe, the show is an illuminating, funny, moving, and deeply rewarding theatrical event for everyone, accessible to the broadest possible multi-generational audience.

Simon Yates : Beyond the Void
Simon is one of the most famous and accomplished exploratory mountaineers of his time. After the harrowing events of his and Joe Simpson’s first ascent of the West Face of Siula Grande in the Peruvian Andes in 1985 during which Simon was forced to take the decision to cut Joe’s rope after he had fallen in a crevasse (as recounted in the bestselling book and BAFTA award-winning film ‘Touching the Void’) Simon carried on to climb in some of the most remote and rarely explored mountain ranges of the world.
In this lecture Simon will take a humorous and philosophical look at some of the more notable experiences over his years as a mountaineer, accompanied by a stunning selection of images collected during his travels.
